The Liechtenstein Association of Auditors held its inaugural meeting on 14 April 1993, based on the Auditors and Auditing Companies Act enacted on 9 December 1992.
The Association of Auditors is a corporation under public law. As the representative of the auditor profession, its responsibilities include maintaining the honor, reputation, and rights of auditors as well as monitoring their duties.
Professionally active auditors and auditing companies licensed and supervised by the Financial Market Authority (FMA) Liechtenstein are automatically members of the Association of Auditors.
The Association of Auditors represents the interests of its members vis-à-vis authorities and third parties, participates in consultations as part of the legislative process, and organizes training opportunities for its members.
